About me

Hi, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Noelle, I am a homeschool parent and have been homeschooling for 11 years. I have two students that are currently Juniors at the creation of this page (03/2022).

My homeschooling journey is coming to and end as my students will be seniors next year. It is my intent to use this blog to divulge all of the knowledge and experience I have gained through our homeschooling adventure. It is my hope that my experience can help guide other parents as they start thier homeschooling endeavor.

In addition to my homeschool experience, I possess two college degrees; Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Astronomy. It is my intent to use my education to help other parents navigate the subjects of math and science. These subject are often the Achilles Heel for many homeschooling parents. I will show that both the subjects of math and science are within reach of parents to teach their students. By taking the fear out of these subjects, I will help equip parents with the necessary skills to teach these subjects.

Our homeschool is called “Chicken Math University”. I have chosen this clevour name as I am also a seasoned backyard chicken keeper with a decade of experience under my wing. Our feathered “Backyard Divas” have been by our side as we traversed our educational journey. My children and I have learned many of life’s lessons from our backyard flock. While I plan to keep this blog strictly about homeschool, a few of our lessons may come with a side of chickenteering.
